More progress with my Power Chords

So – you guys. Is there a way to play power chords without getting cramps in my thumb from all the (probably unnecessary) pressure I am putting onto the back of the fretboard?

Unexpectedly, playing power chords is actually a lot of fun, but as it is I can’t play a whole song (“Highway to Helsinki”, “Have You Seen This Boy?”, “Armed with Guitars” & “When Johnny Comes Marching Home”) without getting cramps.

Practice, I guess.

Same as with actually remembering those chords. Will have to do some work on that outside of Yousician, I think.

I got through Moveable Power Chords, but still working to go back and get all the gold stars. Some songs are even missing a few silver stars. As I was told in the Yousician Friends FB group, you can “pass” a song with one silver star in each section. You can also work on gold-starring one section at a time (or go back to complete just a section you need to finish instead of the whole song).

    • Yeah, I got through the mission as well, but I am missing some silver stars – just like you. And I really want to gold star everything, so I will go back and practice more until I get it. It’s fun and also really rewarding when you finally do get it right. 🙂

I do work on individual sections at a time… it’s way easier and not so frustrating.
